Position Description:
A property management and consulting group are seeking a self-starting individual interested in pursuing a career in Construction Finance and Account to join our Team. This position bridges the gap between development budget operations and construction finance, specifically focused on the aspects of budgeting and tracking job costs to date throughout the lifecycle of a development project. Key Responsibilities:
* Work with external Project Managers, Project Lenders, and Ownership on a weekly basis
* Attend calls with Clients on regular cadence
* Collaborate with clients on budget development and validating financial assumptions
* Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly expenses against the budget
* Manage CIP reports with Financial Accountant to align with CIP on Balance Sheet
* Responsible for cash flow management process from flow of funds, processing pay applications, managing retainage, and tracking JCTD vs equity and loan proceeds spend to date
* Provide budget updates, JCTD and BvA on regular basis
* Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Clients and make recommendations for improvement
* Help to maintain good working relationships and rapport with both Clients and team members

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration, or Civil Engineering
* Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of development accounting principles
* Familiarity with budgeting process, specifically for development construction
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working forensically
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong social intelligence
* Strong technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn new software systems
* NetSuite, QuickBooks, Yardi, and/or BlueCollar proficiency preferred
* Analytical thinker
